Bye-Bye Ninnie and Buddy

"What!?!? What do you mean Ninnie and Buddy are gone?"

Things Maddie misses already now that her Ninnie and buddy have gone home:
1. Getting to snuggle in their bed after she wakes up at 5:00 am so mommy can sleep in (I might actually miss this a little more)



2. Playing ride-a-little-horsey



3. Stroller rides with Buddy in the afternoon (oh, and check out our new stroller that doesn't take up the whole trunk!)



4. All the new toys/shopping bags that came home every time mommy and Ninnie went out



She mostly just misses having them to play with all day!

7 months (2 weeks late)

Finally got a chance to take these pictures last night and realized a few things:

1. We're going to need a bigger blanket for the back drop.

2. It is much harder to get good shots as Maddie is able to move around more.

3. I have a feeling she will be crawling very shortly and walking soon after that. She is already getting up on her hands and knees and rocking, but when she wants to move she goes flat on her tummy and pushes with her feet. My mom seems to think she may skip a lot of the crawling stage because all the wants to do is stand up. If you are anywhere near her she is grabbing onto whatever clothes or appendages she can to try to pull herself up.

Watermelon and Grapes

We have had a fun activity filled weekend with Ninnie and Buddy! Friday night we had a housewarming party and it was great to see so many friends that we have not seen in so long. I had to work yesterday so Maddie hung out all day with Ninnie and Buddy. Maddie even got to see her Friss on Skype after not seeing her for over two months!!!

My mom and I also went to produce world and got some fruit for Maddie to have with her breakfast this morning. She loved the watermelon but wasn't so sure about the grapes at first, eventually she decided they weren't so bad.

Bathroom and Bedrooms

All of these rooms in the house are still works in progress, but here are a few pictures.

Our bedroom:


The upstairs bathroom which I now have a matching shower curtain for, it just needs to be put up. Hopefully mats and towels will be bought this weekend:


Extra bedroom which will be Maddie's playroom. Right now it is where most of the extra boxes from the storage unit are.


Last night Alex finally got to give Maddie a bath in the new house and I think she was happy to go back to the old routine with him.


And once he had her dressed for bed he brought her back out to me and this was how her socks were on:

He's still got some learning to do!

Teething (round 2)

We think Maddie is cutting another tooth as she has been fairly fussy the last two days. She only wants to be held and snuggled and lucky for us my mom and dad will be here tomorrow and will be more than happy to help with that task!

So unfortunately, not a lot was done last night so here are a few pictures from a few weeks ago of Maddie at daycare.

And I just realized I have not done her "7 months" picture so as long as she cooperates tonight I will try to get those taken and posted.

New kitchen and the park

Random, I know, but I want to include some pictures of both the house and of Maddie.

There is a huge park about 2 blocks from our house that we have yet to visit but there is also a cute, small park about a block and a half away that we have already been to a few times. It's nice because most of it is shaded in the afternoon and it is geared more towards younger kids. It's also nice because every time we have been we have been the only ones there so we have been able to take Pepper without any problem. Maddie LOVES the swings and we just let her try the slide for the first time on Sunday. She wasn't too sure about the slide and kept putting her feet down to stand up and stopping herself.







And here are a few pictures of our new kitchen. In our infinite wisdom we have decided to host a house warming party this Friday. Yes, that's right, this Friday - only two weeks after we moved in! This is the last weekend that Alex and I both have off with no plans until September as we decided we didn't want to wait that long. So every night this week we are tackling one room to finish and remove all the boxes from and hoping to have almost everything done by Friday.

Playing with Pepper

We are heading into an off week at work so Alex will be hom ein the evenings this week and I promise to publish more pictures of the house!

Doctors visit

Yesterday at the cardiologists we got the best news possible! She does have a slight heart murmur but the doctor said it sounds like it is already starting to close on it's own. He said we have absolutely nothing to be worried about! If our regular doctor still hears it in a year when can go back for him to check again but he didn't expect that we would have too. She did awesome while hooked up to the monitoring system



But she wasn't so happy when it was time to pull everything off, though it was nothing a warm bottle couldn't fix! We are so relieved and grateful to have such good news come of this.

And on Monday Maddie turned seven months old - with everything going on with the move I didn't even realize! I'm starting to think she may just pass the whole crawling stage and go straight to walking. Her new favorite thing is trying to pull up on any and everything. She loves to stand! Although she still hasn't quiet grasp the concept that if she lets go she will fall but we are working on it.

She is also starting to show signs of seperation anxiety. Anytime I or Alex leaves the room and she can't see us she will start to whine. Which doesn't make it as easy to get everything unpacked and put away.

We finally got our cable and Internet installed yesterday but then realized that our lap top was at Alex's mom's house. I plan on swinging by to pick it up today so I will have more pictures for you either tonight or tomorrow.

Maddie's Room!!

Not much time today as I am trying to catch up from being off since mid day Thursday but I wanted to share a few pictures of Maddie's new room!

We had some friends come over to help us move in on Thursday (thank, everyone!) and of course got to work the next morning and had Maddie's room completed by noon on Friday - even with having to take the crib apart to get it in the room.. It is the only room in the house that is completely done with the exception of having to buy a few things.


We will probably spray paint the book shelve white and I might even paint the chair to match. For now, they work fine the way they are.


The box on the floor is full of stuffed animals that I am going to have to find a big basket for.


This is the wall where I will put the pink painted letter on. I've got to get some white ribbon first to attached to the letters. There are a few butterflies and dragonflies already painted on the wall near the ceiling. Just to the left of the bed is where I will eventually put the basket of stuffed animals and the toys there now will go in the play room.


She has the best and most organized closet in the whole house!


And every girl needs a shoe rack!

We are scheduled to get our cable and Internet installed tomorrow so hopefully I will be able to update more then. i have a really cute video of her first bath in the kitchen sink.

Also, Maddie's cardiologist appointment is tomorrow so I will let you know who it goes.

Out of the condo

We are officially moved out! We packed up and with the help of three wonderful movers we emptied both the condo and the storage unit this morning. The closing on the condo is this afternoon and the closing on the home is at 1pm tomorrow. We can't wait!!

Puffs and Cheerios

Um yea, she doesn't like them









The puffs I fed to her but the cheerios I just set out for her. I actually fed her more puffs even after I realized she didn't like them just so I could get the pictures of her reaction (terrible, I know.) The cheerios she mostly just played with and then Pepper ended up eating them.







In house news we are almost all packed and are set to move out tomorrow morning! We will close on the sale of the condo tomorrow afternoon and then close on the sale of the house Thursday afternoon. We are so blessed to have family close by so we will stay with Grandma and Papa tomorrow night (Maddie has already been there a few nights so we can finish up all the packing.) We will not have cable or Internet at the new house until next Tuesday so I may not be able to post anything again until I'm back at work on Monday. Hopefully with no TV to distract me I will be able to get a lot of the unpacking done over the weekend and will have some pictures to share with you next week!
